What is a Birth Warrior?

My definition of a birth warrior may differentiate from other's definitions.

My definition of a birth warrior is that of a woman who is strong and powerful. She is in total control of her body. She births inherently, wielding power and strength with total confidence.

A birth warrior possesses knowledge, trust and faith. She combats fear with the

She obtains total responsibility for her birth, her baby and her body. She makes decisions out of knowledge and trust and to the best of her ability. She shields her body and her baby from harm.

A warrior is a fighter, a battler, a soldier. Standing up for what they believe in.

A birth warrior stands at the heart of birth and doesn't waver. She holds her head high. She withstands the journey and triumphs in the end. She holds the hand of God and uses His power to bring forth life.

I would love to know your definition of a birth warrior, please share...

My definition of a true warrior is one who is knowledgeable - having studied her prey/enemy to understand its habits, mind, and patterns.

A true warrior is one who is mentally prepared for battle, for difficulty, has identified a passion, something worth fighting for, and is understanding of the risks/benefits of that journey/fight.

A true warrior is strong. She has conditioned and trained her body to be resilient and capable to accomplish superhuman feats. She is not put-off by hard work and even pain, but embraces it with full knowledge that it is part of the journey.

And finally, a warrior, in my estimation, is one who, when adversary presents itself, or the journey takes her into uncharted territory, can gracefully, powerfully, and wholly confidently make the necessary adjustments, PERSONAL decisions, and tough choices necessary to traverse the plains. This just as the others, takes mental fortitude and strength not common to the average man.

A FOOL does not recognize the need or is unwilling to deviate from plan when her instinct or her body is telling her to or situations warrant it.

Often, warriors embark on a journey with one goal in mind - and knowing one battle that they will fight... but, once they are on that journey, they find there are many other sacrifices required of them, the journey takes a different path either by choice or by force, but triumphant return to home, stronger, more capable, and wiser - those are the markings of a warrior.

Well, never mind. I guess I have thought of it in this way, sort of. In my book I wrote a chapter on vocalization based on Isaiah 42:13-14

The Lord shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war:
he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies. I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself; now I will cry like a
travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.

You can see the drawing I did as an illustration of this verse here:
